This itinerary travels anticlockwise around the island, starting off on the south coast before heading up into the island’s hilly heart. Start your clients off at Fort Bazaar in Galle Fort, where they can wander the atmospheric streets of this 17th century old town right from the doorstep of their chic hotel. Then, move on to Habaraduwa’s four-kilometre-long beach, and the spacious ocean-fronted rooms at KK Beach OR enjoy the peace and quiet of undeveloped Mawella Beach, near Tangalle, at The Last House. Then, head up into the hills for picnics, scenic views, tea factory visits and tea estate trails by staying at Nine Skies near Ella before moving on by train (optional) to Santani Wellness Resort, near Kandy, for absolute peace and quiet, and a few blissful treatments (or a week-long wellness package*) before flying home.
*While the varied treatments, facilities and yoga classes within Santani’s spectacular tri-level spa are open to guests staying any number of nights, if your clients wish to indulge in a targeted wellness package, they would need to stay a minimum of seven nights.
NOTE: between the south coast and the hills, your clients could book a one-day safari (or stay) at Leopard Safaris by KK Collection, Yala National Park.
