If you have clients looking for an extended stay in a national park and who would like more time to really observe wildlife away from the crowds, then this itinerary is for them! Sister brand to Leopard Trails, Kumana Under Canvas was established in 2024 and takes guests deep into Kumana National Park, a reserve that sits to the east of Yala (otherwise known as Yala East National Park).
This is perhaps one of the best places to sight wildlife in Sri Lanka at the moment because it sees less visitors than Yala (yet shares the same variety of wildlife) and with Kumana Under Canvas you can actually stay inside the national park. The advantage of this is that when other visitors have left the park, you have it all to yourselves.
The camps are fully mobile, so they are set up for each individual booking and as such require a three-night stay. All food, drinks, national park entry tickets and game drives are included.
