Culture & Hills add on

11 days/10 nights

Let your clients catch their post-flight breath at gorgeously tranquil hotel Wallawwa, near the airport before moving onto the island’s Cultural Triangle. Here they’ll stay at Water Garden – Sigiriya followed by The Kandy House to allow time to seek out the region’s famous attractions and have plenty of time to relax in between sightseeing trips. Continue south west to reservoir-facing Camellia Hills for some blissful Tea Country therapy (walks, picnics and factory visits) before heading back to the airport.

This route works well on its own or combined with The Maldives though we highly recommend our excellent beach hotels, Kumu Beach, The Last House, The Villa Bentota and KK Beach if your clients require a beach stay add on. If you need to shorten this trip, you could choose either Water Garden – Sigiriya or The Kandy House (rather than both) or have your clients travel straight up to Water Garden – Sigiriya from the airport.

Highlights:

  • Exploring the mighty sites of the historic Cultural Triangle region
  • Staying in a historic former Manor House in the immersive city of Kandy
  • Travelling along the Main Line Railway, cutting through mountains and forest
  • Exploring the hills, tea estates and waterfalls, and savouring scenic picnics
