The Walatta House is a one of a kind. Featuring exposed brickwork, living roofs and open ceilings, this three-bedroom sea-facing villa with open-to-the-outdoors living and dining areas, gorgeous pool and AC TV snug follows sustainable design principles. The house is built into the side of a grassy hill that tumbles gently down to a sandy bay, and offers superb ocean vistas from almost every room.
The three minimally furnished bedrooms are all air conditioned yet open onto terraces edged by greenery. The eco-chic interiors are stylish and contemporary, and there are plenty of places, both indoors and out, for everyone to spread out. The villa is a short drive to Tangalle, a southern coastal fishing town, and many pretty beaches, national parks and ancient Buddhist sites are within reach.
The villa is staffed by an efficient team including cook, and backed up by an on-call management company who can assist with local transport and tours.
